The programme is for adults who meet one of these criteria. The doctor makes the final decision.

Usually not possible with

  • History of thyroid cancer
  • Acute or chronic pancreatitis
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Severe kidney or liver disease

What happens after the questionnaire?

After 5 short questions you create your patient account and reserve the basic fee. If a doctor is online you go straight into the video consultation, otherwise you join the queue and receive the link by SMS and e-mail.

When is a medicine prescribed?

Only if therapy is medically indicated. A licensed doctor decides this after the video consultation. A prescription is not guaranteed, the doctor may also decline.

Where can I find my documents?

Everything the doctor issues is in your patient account, with notes on how to use it.

How much does it cost?

The medical service is billed under the GOÄ: GOÄ no. 3 · €20.11 (factor 2.3), with visual examination equivalent to no. 5: €30.83. You are charged as soon as the consultation has started. If a medicine is prescribed, you pay for it separately at the pharmacy; the price depends on the product, dose and pharmacy.

Am I eligible for the programme?

In principle, adults with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a related condition, may be eligible. The questionnaire covers the key points, the doctor makes the final decision in the video consultation.
